OUR TEAM

Tammy has been with Honoring Aging since 2005. In all of her careers, helping people has been at the core. But assisting her current senior clients in the moving process is a passion that she absolutely loves. Having that feeling of loving what she does is truly a gift from God.
She has a Bachelor’s in Management and Leadership from Judson College in Elgin and an Associates in Criminal Justice from Elgin Community College.
Tammy has run the day to day operations of Honoring Aging since 2009. She has had training through NASMM (the National Association of Senior Move Managers) in the business of Hoarding, Aging in Place and is certified as a Senior Move Manager. Tammy attends the yearly conference to continue her education on moving seniors.
She will assist with your personalized moving plan and manage her team to make sure all your needs are met before, during, and after your transition to the new home. It will be a smooth moving process with her guidance and assistance.
After her very first move, the client gave Tammy a big hug with tears rolling down her face and said “thank you for making my new home feel so much like home on our first night. You even hung the towels that I got on my wedding day.” At that moment she knew that this was her calling in life.
Honoring Aging can help you with all of your moving needs to make it as smooth as possible. From 5,000 square feet to 400 square feet, we will make it home for you.

Amy was home on summer break from college in 2005 when she was asked if she was interested in working on a few moves. Little did she know that those first few jobs would lead to an exciting career with Honoring Aging. She has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minor in health from Illinois State University.
With a background in teaching and the passion to help others, working with seniors during one of the most difficult points in their lives is nothing short of rewarding for Amy. She has since helped both sets of her grandparents move to retirement communities and again downsize within them.
And most recently she helped her parents downsize from her childhood home. Treating each client as if they were her parents or grandparents and becoming an advocate for them as if she was their daughter or granddaughter, is one of her favorite parts about senior move management.
Seeing a client’s face as they walk around their new home for the first time, all put together after working side by side for months, is what she looks forwards to most.
